About the Toshiba IP5131-SDL

The Toshiba IP5131-SDL is the executive, large-screen flagship of the IP5000-series. It pairs a backlit 9-line x 24-character LCD with electronic LCD key strips — so button labels change in software instead of on paper strips — with an on-board HTML browser, a four-way navigation key, and the series' standard Gigabit Ethernet switch.

The set shipped in 2008 with 10 programmable keys; a March 2009 Strata CIX software release (R5.2 MT021 and later) doubled flexible key capacity to 20 keys at no extra cost using the purple Shift key, and improved the dial-by-name directory so a call can be placed by pressing the key next to a displayed name. It is also one of the few Toshiba telephones supported on the cloud-based VIPedge service.

Features & capabilities

  • 20 programmable feature buttons — 10 per screen, toggled between keys 1–10 and 11–20 with the purple Shift key (Strata CIX R5.2 MT021 or later)
  • Large 9-line x 24-character backlit LCD with electronic LCD key strips for dynamic button labels
  • On-board HTML browser with a dedicated blue button toggling between the call-processing screen and the browser
  • Four-way navigation key with center select for browser pages and programming screens
  • Four dynamic soft keys on line 9, plus a status LED for message waiting and ringing
  • Fixed buttons: Msg, Mic/Mute, Speaker, Volume, Spdial, Redial, Cnf/Trn and Hold
  • Full-duplex speakerphone, built-in headset interface, carbon handset support and off-hook call announce (OCA)
  • Built-in Gigabit Ethernet switch auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Mbps (unlike the 10/100 IP5531-SDL and IP5631-SDL)
  • Supports LM5110, KM5020 and IDM5060 add-on modules; 802.3af PoE class 0 or the LADP2000-3A adapter
  • Enhanced dial-by-name directory; key labels programmable via eManager, My Phone Manager or user mode (#9876)
