Toshiba Strata CIX
Strata's scalable, IP-ready Communication Integrated eXchange.
About the Strata CIX platform
First released in 2005 (CIX200 R3.0), the Strata CIX was Toshiba's second-generation IP platform — using peer-to-peer IP with the MEGACO+ protocol and SIP-phone compatibility. The family scaled from the CIX40 (2006, which replaced the CTX28) through the CIX100, CIX200 and CIX670 up to the CIX1200, which supports up to 440 trunks, 1,000 telephones and 1,152 ports.
Release 4.1 (2006) added VLAN support, BCOCIU and BSTCIU Caller ID cards, Strata Net per-port licensing, FeatureFlex/HotDesk shared-desk operation, and BPCI + TAPI Outlook integration with a software-only Attendant Console. Release 4.2 (2007–08) enhanced Caller ID and SIP-phone features with eManager/DESI keystrip integration, and Releases 5.0–5.1 added IP Hot Desk mobility and SIP trunking. The CIX40 Release 2 raised capacity from 6 to 11 trunks and 8 to 24 IP channels.
The application ecosystem is deep: Microsoft Exchange unified messaging, Nurse Call integrations, and multimedia Web Callback with live Web Chat, alongside Call Manager, TASKE and ACD. Our technicians know the CIX inside out — remote or onsite.
